Saturn Astra may be smart move for GM (The Towerlight)
GM has switched things up on the American buying public in recent years. In 2004 came the Pontiac GTO, a rebadged, or relabeled, Holden Monaro hailing from the land down under; and then the Aura in 2006, a heavily remodeled European Opel Vectra. This year, Pontiac is releasing the G8 here (another rebadged Holden), and the small, stylish Opel Astra joins Saturn's lineup.

Besides the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the Pontiac Solstice Coupe was the other car that turned heads at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The engine choices are the same as the convertible including a base 2.4L Ecotec 4-cylinder engine producing 173hp and a GXP version powered by a 2.0L turbocharged Ecotec that produces 260hp.
